Hello, I'm a newby in this forum. Hope I'm in the right place. I recently aquired a

KE-28B with the 6in./F2.8 lens by Leitz/Canada. The camera is in excellent condition

and I plan to use it to take oblique aerials. I'm not a professional, this is a hobby

I enjoy. I'm a 30 year retired navyman (1957-1987) who's recently retired from a follow on career in federal civil service. I've been in aviation all my life and currently have part interest in a Cessna which I fly with the door off for photo purposes. I have an old

K-20 I've been using, but I'd like to try this K-28B. I'm told this Leitz lens is great.

I wondered if someone here might have a lead on a manual for this camera. Perhaps at some military parts house or even the manufacture?

Also how about the perforated 70mm cassette roll film in 15 foot lengths. I understand a number of cameras use this including hasselblad and Pentax. I really haven't started seriously searching yet (just got the camera) but thought I'd ask. Where's a good place to locate this film?

Finally, is anyone shooting aerials with a KE-28B? Any tips? or advice?

Oh yeah, whats the difference between the KE-28A and the KE-28B?

Thanks for any and all advice/ comments.

Mike

...hi Mike - I'am a KE 28a Owner, and I realy like the breathtaking Lens with that Camera. I' am wondering, if it is made by Leica as well. But do not have any information.

...I' am flying with that camera as well - And I find a way to put in normal 120 or 220 Rollfilms. Operating the camera this way has two downsides:

1) You need to load an unload the camera in total darkness.

2) There is a lot of space inbetween the negatives. It brings only 8 frames on a 120 Film, and about 16 on a 220.

Look at this:
