adan Posted December 3, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 3, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) ...and before you strain your eyes looking - I mean the (correct) color of the musicians, not a digital artifact... Shot these at Denver's "Parade of Lights" Friday night: ISO 640 (except the dragon with flash) 21 pre-ASPH, 90 f/2.0 pre-APO, and a 30-year-old 50 'cron for the lollipop girl. Lighting was tungsten bulbs (some colored) and/or sodium vapor street lights. Figured it would be an acid test for banding, and while it did show up (along with blobs, etc.) in quite a few shots, I got far more pictures with no problems at all. Advertisement Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Hi adan, Take a look here Whole new meaning to the phrase "Magenta Band". I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jrc Posted December 3, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 3, 2006 Nice shots. But what drives me crazy in these things, knowing now of the magenta shift, is wondering how much magenta is really magenta, and how much is black. I was in a shopping mall today, and there is a *lot* of magenta around this season, and, of course, a lot of black. I gotta get these filters before I go around the bend...
