elansprint72 Posted December 6, 2006 Share #22 Posted December 6, 2006 Bill, I've order a _large_ and perfectly formed Christmas present to myself - it's known as a Rolleiflex :-) Steve, When it jams, there is a man in Wilmslow who has taken several apart and fixed them. stunsworth Posted December 6, 2006 Share #23 Posted December 6, 2006 Pete, it can't be any worse than the Russian MF junk that I've played with in the past - and it's a bit easier to carry than my RB67 :-)
lmr Posted December 7, 2006 Share #24 Posted December 7, 2006 Bill: I have both IIIf RD/ST and IIIg. I use them frequently, but IIIg more so than the IIIf for the reason others have stated, VF 50 & 90, Parallex, std speeds, and somehow it feels like using an M3's slightly older sibling. Both IIIf and IIIg are super camera.... eventually you may end up with both and will use both for the beauty, the feel, and the thought that is needed to take a picture. Almost "Zen" like. To compliment the screwmounts, I have the 50 summarits, 50 cron, VC 15, VC 28 f1.9, 85 f2.0 Nikkor P, VC double shoe adaptor, some external VF, and VC Meter II... Yes, it got addictive too!!! Here are some good reading from Cameraquest and a great place to get VC lnes and gears, scroll down to Leica Screw Mount "Barnack Cameras"...
