At the beginning, I had a concern about the fact that the black "paint "of the M9 was more fragile than the mass tinted black of the M8 but after few weeks I feel very different and prefer the lacquer finish look by far of the M9. It doesn't seem fragile and this satin finish is just gorgeous. Between black vs grey plus an unknown wait I would choose black with no doubts. cheewai_m6 Posted December 1, 2009 Share #22 Posted December 1, 2009 personally i'd go with black. but i got a chrome m6 so i would like to have black for m9. but it's your choice. just going back a couple of posts with the pic m8 and m9. the cut-out from the top plate above the view finder makes the m9 look a lot less bulky! i know that was the intention, it's worked quite well. the black paint on the m9 is a lot more durable than the mp, because the mp's paint was intended to come off a lot easier.
