E.M Posted November 22, 2009 Share #2 Posted November 22, 2009 Long time ago I worked as a beachphotographer , we had Canon FTB cameras from the company. Never cleaned it, apart from whiping of the sand with a brush to avoid sandparticles coming in the body when changing film. Shooting between 5 and 10 films a day, never had problems. Guest AgXlove Posted November 23, 2009 Share #3 Posted November 23, 2009 Brush off any sand or dirt on exterior camera surfaces using a small paintbrush or toothbrush (do not do this with a lens brush and then use the brush on your lenses). Wipe off all exterior surfaces with a clean cloth that has been slightly wetted with fresh water. Let camera sit on kitchen table overnight to air dry. If the front element of your lens needs cleaning, dust it off with a can of compressed air or a rubber lens blower bulb, then use a microfiber cloth with a few drops of photographic lens cleaner fluid applied to it.
