Pangur Ban Posted November 25, 2009 Share #23 Posted November 25, 2009 Good for you - I look forward to seeing your photos of the new camera (and your friend's one too). The reality is that if anyone who might be a tad cynical about these items actually saw and held one of these items they'd be appreciative of both the quality of the object and the craftsmanship involved. The marketing of them may be a different matter.... Enjoy!
cidereye Posted November 26, 2009 Share #24 Posted November 26, 2009 Does anyone know the pantone code for the Hermes orange? I'd like to order a new Bentley Continental with the same colour paintwork and leather, and chrome dash to match the camera. Hehehe Not sure of the Pantone colour coding of this but if you just hang around the arrivals lounge at Heathrow airport for a short while and you are bound to see one of our older US male cousins arrive wearing golfing trousers in that particular colour - Just ask them kindly for a material sample. Guest JoanMarianne Posted November 29, 2009 Share #25 Posted November 29, 2009 It's fine for Leica to use any legitimate means to make money - and it's a free country, supposedly, here in the UK. However, my friend says she would not like a Hermes Leica because she would not want to be mistaken for the kind of people who buy that kind of thing. Actually, I think that is a rather rude symptom of envy and I shall remonstrate with her later (so you need not bother). Maybe Hermes ought to have gone for the M9 which, inexplicably, perhaps, seems more appropriate for this kind of corporate promotional item.
