look for a good, lovingly worn (brassy) version of the M8.

Never settled with the drone of the M8 motor wind. Stopped a European Cup Final once.

No, I was delighted when the MP hand winder was re-introduced a couple of versions back. Made it unique amongst digital cameras.

I am still using my M6 with films from the yard-sales, waitig for the M14. I hope Leica will improve all the problems we are seing today.

You are referring to the problems with the yard-sale film, right? I think that's on Leica's release plan for the M15.

I asked Luigi to supply a half-case for my M14 but he tells me that there is no longer any leather on the market. Hopefully stem cell researchers will eventually come up with a solution to this. Meanwhile I am using the radiation-proof Hadley Rad-Pro.

I get soooo tired of the M12 complaints! I am still number 2 on my dealers M11 list.

With Leica’s rule about not skipping a number it will another 2 months before I can pickup my 11 and trade it in on a 12. The M12 waiting list is now under 100 at my dealer. By that time the new firmware will have cured the blue fringing on the 8 mm lux.

Cheers

I'm building a 9 lens set for my three M12s.

Which one would you recommend and why ?

I shoot beach volley ball and underwater swimming mainly, but recently had success with vintage cars.

In addition, I'm going on holiday the year after next. Will I attract flare ?

waiting for the M14.

There's a rumour that the S2 will be released before then. Been said before though.

How about the Decca-Noctilux, Every Focal length between 16mm and 135mm F.01. It's still smaller than a dSLR zoom lens but it weighs 10 kilos, and costs $100,000

Hi guys...

Here is the M16 sensor automatic cleaning system. High tech indeed.

I want to go on record as being the first person to whine about the M12.

M'Ate... Don't I remember you from the old L-Camera Forum from the internet days, before SkyNet became self-aware and shut the Forum down, because SkyNet thought the Forum had been infected with a Redundancy Virus?

You used to troll there as I remember. So, Nikon fanboy, If you hate the camera so much why don't you just trade it in for eurogreen-stamps and go back to the Nikon forum?

And, try to remember, It was well established back in the Nikanon-Leica debates of years past that everyone would just agree, different horses for different courses.

Let's stop all of this nonsense and go out and shoot pictures. Sheesh!

p.s. My new "Leica Walker Mount" works beautifully on my walker. And, with the new HCB software for the M12 I can mount the M12 on my walker and the HCB software automatically shoots incredible street shots for me while I keep two hands on the walker.

Ever since the European Union banned all light bulbs in favor of recycleable long-duration phosphorescent clothing, the; M12 has gained a cult following when equipped with the 35mm f/0.35 Noctiloid-QS. The 0.1% noise level at ISO 102,400 is deemed by some to add a bit of realism to available light photos--in contrast to the "too-perfect," "sterile" output of the Canon 1DS Mark 19 at ISO 409,600. Some diehard Leica critics question whether the lens' bokeh is smooth enough at full aperture, and whether a camera limited to a usable ISO 102,400 can possibly compete in today's marketplace.

Then there was that little incident during testing when the light-gathering quantum singularity fell out of the Noctiloid during nighttime testing, sucking several of farmer August Wurstmacher's cows and part of his pasture into a small black hole. Leica management assures us that the appropriate manufacturing procedures have been tightened up and "the customer may expect no further quantum issues in the forseeable future."

I'm waiting for Luigi to finish the half case I ordered from him for my M12. I just hope the elector-variable polarizer he builds into the back flap helps control glare so I can see the 40 mp screen better in the daylight. I've gotten a case from him for every Leica I've owned since my original M8.

Someone PLEASE make this thread a sticky and compulsory reading for every member.

Did anyone see the new interview with Oskar Barnack posted on the Clones R Us website? It seems that he is very unhappy with that gold plated Hermes edition R11. After all the R10 only sold 13 bodies world wide and it was only USD 23 000.

By the way, which camera bag are people using with their new M12. Pictures please :p:P:p

(Moderators, please feel free to split off my camera bag question in a new thread as I'm sure it will easily hit 5,000 views before the weekend).

You may recall that Leica, unfortunately, compounded the bad publicity from that incident by offering August Wurstmacher a slightly used M11 as compensation. Herr Wurstmacher was not amused: "Even a simple farmer knows that digital cameras do not hold their value like cows."

Last night I came home with the latest model of a new computer (I don't want to name the brand). This computer has the M13 with the updated Aura Reader built in. Since the M13 has become the most popular and best selling camera worldwide, there has been released an M13 A, M13 B and M13 Z. For all collectors out there - I still have a few Zs in stock.
