wparsonsgisnet Posted November 16, 2009 Author Share #21 Posted November 16, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey, Mike, 'Grats! It's really a great camera. I find it "tighter" and more solid. The firmware is also more solid: no runaway blinking red light under a variety of conditions. A fellow worker was looking at the pic of the 4 dancers today and was surprised to see so little grain at 1600. This also happens to be about 1/3 or less of the captured image. The pic he was looking at is 13x19. The extra detail is really terrific. Good to hear from you.
Advertisement Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Hi wparsonsgisnet, Take a look here M9 vs M8 pix. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wparsonsgisnet Posted November 17, 2009 Author Share #22 Posted November 17, 2009 Hah! I just figered it out! My stupid assistant (shoulda been drowned at birth) mounted the 50 'lux-a on the M8 withOUT the damn IR-cut filter. No wonder I couldn't match the wb between the 2 pix. Geez, I was worried before because I thot it was my fault, but it's only my assistant. Tonite, I'll try again. Watch out: I might just submit the same pic modified slightly. I will be photoing some young women. I'll ask them to stand still for me, particularly when they're in the air.
Bo_Lorentzen Posted November 17, 2009 Share #23 Posted November 17, 2009 Assistants and art directors - typically the bane of any good shoot. Then again, I had one young lady working for me trained to every time she ask for a opinion she hands me a fresh cup of coffee before I look through the camera. Now THAT's talent. (with a little luck she don't read LUF either) .
