Hyperdrive Excellent customer service

For any of you out there who are considering a portable storage drive, I'd like to tell you about the Hyperdrive UDMA and the excellent customer service they provide.

 

I purchased this unit in late May of this year. It is my second Hyperdrive storage unit. The new unit worked beautifully and easily absorbed files from both my Nikon D3 as well as from my Leica M8. Until yesterday. The drive crashed and became totally inoperative. Neither I nor their customer service could figure it out. The problem is that I am leaving for San Francisco on a combination business/pleasure/photo op trip tomorrow. I will not have a car in SF so even though the Sanho Company (maker of Hyperdrive) is only 45 miles from SF it will be unreachable for me.

 

After me explaining the problem, Kelvin from their customer service asked me for the name and address of the hotel where I will be staying. He said, "It will be there for you Wednesday morning. Just send back the defective unit."

 

I have rarely had that kind of customer service. I also have been using their products for about 5 years and this is the first significant problem I have had. I recommend the Hyperdrive UDMA and the company that makes them.
