is there any official statement about the m9 delay?

Up here in Canada, I'm told by my camera store to expect at least 2+ months of delay with only 9 ppl on the list. They only had 2 came in since Sept. and 2 months between the 1st and the 2nd one. Sounds like I might get mine sometimes in 2010.

What camera store are you dealing with? I have an order placed with Vistek, and on Tuesday they told me there are 11 in line (grey model), I'm number 3, and I should expect the camera at the end of December provided the current estimates from Leica remain.. not happy!

I ordered a Black model in Oct. at "The Camera Store" in Calgary. I think I'm at the bottom of the list. They really can't tell when the next shipment will come so I guess they just don't want to give any high expectation. Don't know if I can get bump up the list if I put in deposit.
