jaay Posted November 6, 2009 Share #1 Posted November 6, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) There have been many threads about capture one 5 (regular and pro) not accepting M8 license codes as an acceptable upgrade. Well, i searched long and hard to try to get the price down for us europeans (they add 25% VAT to the 299EUR price!!) and have found that if you use the discount code at this website: Direct Digital Imaging - Discount Deals then it gets the price including VAT down to 280EUR or £250. Hope thats helps, and it swung it for me!

The LE keys were eligible for one free upgrade but had to be used for the next version. Which would be C1 4. If it s not used and upgraded to C14( the next major version) then one would los e it. The upgrade version needs to be utilized in the next version . If not used, then the free upgrade goes away Best Regards Phase One Marketing

What isn't clear is why it is not possible to pay for an upgrade from C1 4 to C1 5 (whether Pro or standard) at the published upgrade price.

Ian, are you saying that you haven't seen the C1 4 to C1 5 upgrade price, or you've been unable to process it. Doug Petersen's company advertises the Upgrade price. £160, I recall. The latter. Phase have stated that the M8 supplied C1 isn't eligible for the upgrade pricing because it was "given away" with the camera.
