marknorton Posted November 28, 2006 Share #5 Posted November 28, 2006 The dealer I'm getting my second camera from tells me his other customers have not had any problems. I wonder if they've been taken out of their display cabinets?
wattsy Posted November 28, 2006 Share #6 Posted November 28, 2006 The dealer I'm getting my second camera from tells me his other customers have not had any problems. I wonder if they've been taken out of their display cabinets? Haven't you said before that this dealer is Ffordes? My experience of them is that they are never aware of any shortcomings in anything they sell. That said, they probably deal with all sorts of irritating customers returning stuff for trivial reasons and have adopted a defensive position regarding customer complaints. Incidentally, I had another look at the Leica statement to check something and noticed that Leica describe the repair programme for the M8 using terms such as "remedy' and "cure"? Didn't the statement previously describe the procedure as an "upgrade"?

Riley Posted November 28, 2006 Share #8 Posted November 28, 2006 well that proves they are at least listening and believe me, that for the mostpart with 'other' camera manufacturers isnt the case Riley
Stevez4 Posted December 4, 2006 Share #9 Posted December 4, 2006 You must be in Florida. Not only does my dealer tell me his customers have had no M8 problems, when i ask him what the latest he hears from Leica is I get no response.
