Oldlugger Posted November 3, 2009 Share #1 Posted November 3, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Could anyone advise me which of the Leica round vented lens hoods fits the Summicron 1:2/40mm lens and what its correct diameter is? Or alternatively, would one of the new Voigtländer round vented hoods fit this lens? Any suggestions as to where I could find the Leica hood? Also are there any filters that fit this lens and again where could I find them for sale? I want to use the lens and hood on a Leica CL camera. Many thanks Simon (my first post!) sender Posted November 4, 2009 Share #2 Posted November 4, 2009 My recollection is that the 40mm Summicron came with a rubber lens shade that folded back. It was not vented and it took series 5.5 filters. I never tried fitting another lens shade, since the folding one remained on all the time. Good luck.
