I have been using a 16GB Promaster. Works fine but every so often when i return it to the camera after downloading the photos I get a No Card indication even though the card is indeed in the camera. Need to purchase some additional cards and now that there's been a bit more time since last posts on the topic, thought i would raise the question anew. thx.

I am using an 8gb Hoodman RAW card. Absolutely no problem on speed. Question though....is there any disadvantage to just reformatting the card in-camera after downloading the pictures onto my Mac, or is it better to delete pictures from the card on one's computer after they've downloaded?

You will be better off reformat the card in-camera after the download, seems to be safer than deleting those files via a desktop computer, there were similar discussion about this in the past, though you might have do dig down deep into the forum to look for those threads again.
