ptarmigan Posted November 1, 2009 Share #1 Posted November 1, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is this easy to fix or something to live with? Does it affect focusing? I have a chance of acquiring an M6 with this issue.

rob_x2004 Posted November 2, 2009 Share #4 Posted November 2, 2009 The only problem is, do you know that when it was knocked out vertical that it wasnt knocked out horizontal? Sure its an easy fix but what are you going to cover up?
jhild Posted November 2, 2009 Share #5 Posted November 2, 2009 once I gave one of my M6 bodies a hard knock, thanks god it was in a "never ready case" so nothing happened to the camera but the rangefinder was out of alignment. It is posssible to get the red dot off, I used toth picks for that, try to turn it in both directions, it will become loose eventually as it is "glued" in with double side tape. You see a small hole and have to make a special tool to reach the horizontal adjusting device. The tool should look like a small screwdriver with a pin on one side. The rest is try and error but I have been successfull. Check vertical alignment, too. Good luck Jo
jhild Posted November 2, 2009 Share #6 Posted November 2, 2009 there is a small error in the text above, toth picks should read tooth picks, sorry Jo
