eno1 Posted October 31, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 31, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have had eight months of problem free use with my M8.2 but recently noticed this burned-in image in my camera display (photo attached). It looks as though the sensor has left an imprint of some sort. Has anyone experienced this same problem? Thank you for your advice.

Nicoleica Posted October 31, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 31, 2009 Hi, I believe that this is known as the 'Coffee ring', and there have been several reports of this occurring. I think that it's caused by a de-lamination in the LCD assembly, and requires a trip back to the Leica General Hospital to be cured. It shouldn't affect your photographs though, so at least you may be able to schedule the repair for a convenient time.
erl Posted November 1, 2009 Share #3 Posted November 1, 2009 I am pretty sure Nicole's diagnosis is correct, sorry to say.
Alnitak Posted November 1, 2009 Share #4 Posted November 1, 2009 Darn, I knew this was one of those back to repair situations. This just appeared on my M8.2 as well. A little disappointed in the quality here, but such is life.
