Gerard Posted October 30, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 30, 2009 On the hot-shoe (where the flash attaches). Should also be on the Passport, box, and guarantee.

ho_co Posted October 31, 2009 Share #5 Posted October 31, 2009 jjjjuin-- You don't need documents to get a Leica repaired. If you're the initial purchaser and registered the camera with Leica, they have all the information they need, so all you need to do is send them the camera. Since the warranty is not transferrable, if you're not the initial purchaser, the camera is not under warranty to you; again, Leica will have that information. In any case, just send the camera to Leica with a description of its problem. If you feel there's some paperwork that would help you make your case, send a copy of it with the camera. When Leica receives the camera, they will send you an estimate--either a no-charge estimate if the camera is under warranty, or a price for having the camera put back into top condition and returned to you with a full one-year warranty from the date of repair. Good luck, and welcome to the forum!
