sebastian Posted November 26, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 26, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is my first experience using Adobe Camera Raw (Yes, I've upgraded to 3.6). When I open a raw image from my D-Lux 3 in Photoshop Elements 3.0 (Mac)... and based on what I've read elsewhere about Adobe Raw... I get a limited number of options: "Adjust" and "Detail" tabs only, no "Lens" or "Calibrate" tabs, no option to toggle between "Basic" and "Advanced," "Preferences" on the menu is grayed out, and no workflow options for "Space," "Size," or "Resolution..." just the 8/16 bit selection. I do get the usual tool palette, histogram, and highlight/shadow clipping displays, and all the controls on the standard Adjust and Detail tabs... so it's perfectly capable of adjusting raw images... but no whistles & bells. Am I missing something? Or is the D-Lux 3 version of ACR just pretty basic, without those extras? Thanks
Advertisement Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Hi sebastian, Take a look here D-Lux 3/Adobe Camera Raw question . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
mhulbert Posted December 2, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 2, 2006 Sorry, not an answer, but another question. I can't even get to that stage. I have the 3.6 ACR and when I try to open a shot I have to fill in a diaglogue box regarding size, but can't figure it out. Any ideas?
John Maio Posted December 3, 2006 Share #3 Posted December 3, 2006 I tried the PE 4.0 (with updated ACR) on a PC and it appears that PE does not provide all of the capabilities of PSCS2 insofar as adjustments in ACR that are available to you. I have the fill PSCS2 on a Mac and every thing's there. Wonder why they didn't include PE 5.0 (latest version) with the Digilux-3? I guess that's why they get the big money for PSCS2:D
