mcbenke111 Posted October 26, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 26, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi! I just purchased a used M8 and a new CV 28/2 as a first lens and I'm eagerly waiting for delivery of the items. I understand that I need a IR cut-filter to go with the lens - My question is - what is the best online shop that won't charge more for shipping to Sweden than the filter itself? Looked at ebay and Amazon but if you want reasonable delivery times, the companies in the US charge way too much for shipping a tiny 46mm B&W 486. Looking forward to posting pics and other questions in this great forum! Thanks in advance /Henrik

Nicoleica Posted October 26, 2009 Share #3 Posted October 26, 2009 You could try Wibergs Foto in Stockholm for genuine Leica filters (Possibly B+W too.) or Scandinavian Photo sell most B+W filters. I'm sure they could order one for you if Wibergs don't have them.

gabriel Posted October 27, 2009 Share #5 Posted October 27, 2009 Try fotofilterversand.de - Spezialversand fr Fotofilter, Adapterringe und Zubehr in Germany. I have dealt with them they stock a wide range of B+W and Heliopan filters and ship all over Europe for a reasonable charge. If you are looking for UVIR filters then Leica origional (which work best on the M8) are available now second hand at very reqasonable prices from ffordes photographic : Main Index or Red Dot Cameras - Leica Cameras, Leica Binoculars, Metz Flashguns, Manfrotto Tripods, Leitz in the UK
Guest mc_k Posted October 27, 2009 Share #6 Posted October 27, 2009 Leica and Heliopan UV/IR filters should do just as well for you if you can't find B+W
