I took the first shots with the M6 and the Summicron 35 mm, using Velvia slides. Please keep in mind I am just starting with film photgraphy! I am trying to learn how to use all the gear (including the scanner, the most frustrating part). And once I feel comfortable with by mechanical abilities, I will concentrate in shooting good, well composed shots.

As said, using the scanner (Epson 350 v) is really difficult. In the end, the scanned images do no justice to the quality of the camera/lens/film combo.

Evidently, I am more than happy with the camera and the lens. To be more precise, the camera is far better than my abilities as a photographer. It probably offers more than I will ever be able to use.

Once again, I was not trying to frame the perfect pic, but rather testing the camera in different situations, in particular sun/shade scenes. Overall, the performance is excellent, and the scanned shots only offer a glimpse of this.

On the negative side, I found that the lens is so short that sometimes selecting the aperture would mean loosing the focus (you touch it without even noticing) so I had to check several times whether everything was fine before shooting. Lack of experience, yes, sure, but also the inherent problems of such a small lens.

I also find challenging to frame the picture. The wide aperture, the small viewing window plus the fact that I wear glasses (I am myopic) made composition a bit difficult.

And now some pictures:
