hjernemadsen Posted October 23, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 23, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) On my new M9, if I make an exposure with the lens cap on and shut the camera down before the exposure is completed (i.e after some seconds) the camera will lock-up. The only thing that happens when I press the shutter is the appearance of the "sd" message in the viewfinder. After removal and reinsertion of the battery the camera will work again. If I let the camera compete the exposure/noise suppression cycle (takes more than 60 seconds) the camera will work properly. This is different than it was on my M8 here I did not experience the problems mentioned above. It this behavior specific to my camera or can anyone else reproduce it? Sincerely Peter
Advertisement Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Hi hjernemadsen, Take a look here Reproducible lock-up with my new M9. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stevem7 Posted October 23, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 23, 2009 If this happens just rotate the shutter speed dial and it will stop itself and will not lock up. But, I am sure this glitch will be fixed in a firmware update.
mat_mcdermott Posted October 23, 2009 Share #3 Posted October 23, 2009 Peter, there was a thread about this running maybe a week ago. Yes, others can reproduce it.
