smoody Posted October 23, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 23, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've seen some low-light, high-iso photos posted on the forum that made me shudder. However, now that I have the camera in my hands, the noise levels aren't nearly as bad as I thought they'd be and, in many instances, I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the noise in the shadows. Here's a 100% crop, DNG to JPG via Adobe Camera Raw, default conversion settings, ISO 800. [edit: it was not converted with default settings... i moved the black slider to zero, which should make shadow noise more visible]

stevem7 Posted October 23, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 23, 2009 I was also pleasantly surprised at the high ISO of the M9. Better than the M8 no doubt.
