stevme Posted November 26, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 26, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Taken on Thanksgiving - wet blacktop; the slate at the right is grey. Sure looks black to me. I used Jamie Robert's "chrome" M8 profile, found elsewhere in this forum.

chetccox Posted November 26, 2006 Share #2 Posted November 26, 2006 Since when do those items shift to magenta? You might want to spend some time reading the many posts in this forum.

I've read quite a few. I don't think it has been established that the infrared effect is limited to synthetic, black fabrics. In fact, with rain, one might expect puddles to be highly reflective and give the infrared effect. I assume other color frequencies may be washing out the infrafred effect in these puddles, or perhaps it is the clouds that filter infrared, I don't know. The day was heavily overcast. Another poster mentions how the greens of leaves can become lighter due to infrared. I saw this myself in some pix I shot of foliage in afternoon sun. I posted this photo to show, to my satisfaction, at least, that it is possible to shoot black and get it. The problem seems to be that it is difficult to predict the results.
