Trying to decide on a good lens adapter for filters and add on lens.

Any thoughts on lensmate vs pandabase?

The lensmate site only shows the adApters and filters, but the pandabase has a whole set you can get with the adapter, wide lens, fisheye, and telephoto..Does anyone have experience with this?

I purchased the Panasonic version and it works fine. It is 46 mm and I step up to 52mm. It allows me to put a ring light in the camera for macro work. I have to zoom through it to avoid taking pictures of the ring.

Looking back and forth... Pandabase seems to have more possibilities, they have different combos that come with the adapter, wide lens or fish eye or telephoto, and filters...

Is their stuff pretty decent quality?

Thinking of doing the combo with the wide lens + telephoto adapter + filters...

The adapter is is fine. Do not waste your money on the cheap wide angle and telephoto adapters. They will not come even close to the quality of the lens on the camera you have invested in. The adapter, a lens hood, and high quality circular polarizer all make sense.

That's pretty much what I'm gonna end up doing... just adapter & polarizer...

I see different prices for polarizers, any suggestions?

BTW how is the Panasonic wide angle adapter in terms of picture quality?

I stick to Hoya and B+W filters. For my D-Lux 4 I have a Hoya multi-coated polarizer. Some of the cheap ones can show distortion and add a lot of flare. I have not tried the Panasonic wide angle adapter, so can offer no useful information there other than some others have been happy with it.
