Advertisement Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Hi rob_x2004, Take a look here Warming, boiling Rodinal.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
MPerson Posted October 20, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 20, 2009 Rob - you can in warm water - never done it at boiling. Takes awhile and needs shaking/stirring every now and again. I do not bother now, if you get any crystals when diluting I find they dissolve OK. On the other hand forget them and just keep using it as required, it does not affect the Rodinal potency. I usually do the "Sand Dance" when shaking mine!
rob_x2004 Posted October 20, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted October 20, 2009 When the bottle is full it doesnt much matter you can avoid the sediment. When you are getting down to the last couple of draw ups you are picking up a bit of grit and I have to admit it sometimes goes straight into the tank which probably contributes to the 'dust specs' on the film sometimes. Wheres the sheepish smilie:o. Got a fresh bottle out today and it is a bit crystalline in places, so I figured I will warm it a bit and see what happens. Im sure the old bottles used to be sealed but these new clear ones aren't.
