Hello,

I recently purchased a Leica D-LUX 4 and I took many shots in using Dynamic B&W setting in RAW format (.RWL). When I import them into Capture One, they turn into coloured images! How can I prevent this from happening, and let Capture One import images from my camera as is and not convert them into coloured ones?

Thanks

hi Omelfata, welcome to the forum. This interesting phenomenon had been discussed before in the forum, you might like to do a search for more feedback from experienced users around here. In the meantime i believe that you can go to the "exposure" settings inside Capture One and de-saturate your image to begin your work flow .... hope it helps.

You can't. Any adjustment you make in-camera, colour, contrast, sharpness, or here, b&w, will affect only the jpegs images, not the Raw files. The Raw files always remain as shot, with all the information straight from the sensor (or almost.) If you want to use the (quite good) Dynamic b&w setting from the camera, don't shoot Raw, shoot the best jpegs, and use that. I do it with my Lumix LX-3 (D-Lux 4 quasi-twin) from time to time.
