mat_mcdermott Posted October 21, 2009 Share #31 Posted October 21, 2009 Black paint and black paint. Very nice. Are you scratching out the white paint on the M9 or painting in? Just curious.
Fernmelder Posted October 21, 2009 Share #32 Posted October 21, 2009 Bixi, your hand in the first shot looks a bit pale. But surely a very nice camera - which I don't have being a rather poor university student. So I'll hug my M4 to good night and expose some film in the coming days. noah_addis Posted October 21, 2009 Share #33 Posted October 21, 2009 It's a top-secret technique involving goof-off and a kitchen knife.
carstenw Posted October 21, 2009 Share #34 Posted October 21, 2009 What is goof-off? Come to think of it, what is goof? I thought it was something else entirely
Daniel Leung Posted October 21, 2009 Share #35 Posted October 21, 2009 M9 with 35 Summicron Asph. It's shiny and new, but it won't be for long...time go get to work. Hi Noah, I just bought the 35mm F2 Summicron too but the hood is totally different than yours? is your lens hood an original one? tks DL
carstenw Posted October 21, 2009 Share #36 Posted October 21, 2009 That is a black paint special edition. The normal version has the squareish plastic hood.

noah_addis Posted October 21, 2009 Share #38 Posted October 21, 2009 That is a black paint special edition. The normal version has the squareish plastic hood. Yes. This one looks nice but I may get a plastic one, it's smaller. Also this one keeps wanting to fall off and I know it's expensive (if not impossible) to replace. rosuna Posted October 21, 2009 Share #39 Posted October 21, 2009 Those M9s are beautiful. ... but I prefer the minimalistic look of the MP camera, this is, without the red logo and without the "M9" engraving in the front. The M9 has the same look and feel of the M7 camera.
ModernMan Posted October 22, 2009 Share #40 Posted October 22, 2009 Black paint and black paint. Very nice. Are you scratching out the white paint on the M9 or painting in? ... but I prefer the minimalistic look of the MP camera, this is, without the red logo and without the "M9" engraving in the front. Perhaps this should be an A-la-carte option from Leica. Seriously. Like the "model desigation delete" option on the Mercedes AMG cars. Engraving unfilled (no white) and black dot instead of red. I would have opted for that.
