mikpeter Posted October 14, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 14, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone visited the Leica gallery in NYC? There is an ongoing exhibition Peter Souza: President Barack Obama - The First 200 Days I was visiting NYC and dropped in at the gallery and got to see these wonderful images of Barack Obama's intimate moments both public and private up close and personal. I am curious as to the photos, they were very crisp and clean. Since, they were displayed in the Leica gallery, I assumed they were most likely taken with a Leica, more specifically an M8. I had asked someone who was working there, if these images were taken by the M8, I got a reply that these images were not necessarily taken with a Leica. So my question is, why are these images being displayed in a Leica gallery?

JColen Posted October 14, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 14, 2009 I agree. It is a beautiful body of work. Some of the photos (especially the very wide shots) were taken with a Canon 5D mkII

el.nino Posted October 14, 2009 Share #4 Posted October 14, 2009 So my question is, why are these images being displayed in a Leica gallery? A gallery is about photographs and not about equipment. Otherwise it would not be a gallery.
