davek Posted October 13, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 13, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I also posted this on the film forum. I was a long time M7 user traded to DSLR, Canon 5D now 1DsMk111 and various L lenses I have no complaints about the DSLR format other than size and convenience which frankly manifests itself as less time using the camera due to the size and bulk of equipment one carries around I intend to trade the Canon gear for Leica. After 3 years and many thousands of digital images I want to get back to taking pictures and enjoying photography which Leica was a large part of. I had no interest in the M8 for reasons well debated but have decided to by a M camera and stay the course I am 55 and will not be going back! . I enjoyed film and I am not hung up on the digital vs film debate they both have their merits but more I enjoyed the Leica experience therefor my debate should I buy the MP or M9, I will likely buy 35 Cron or 50 Lux as my first lens also one can build their lens collection over time regardless of film vs digital. They both have pros and cons one digital full frame but high price of admission there will be a M10 one day. The other probably the best manual film camera ever made and will not be replaced. I want both LOL. Has anyone gone through the same scenario I would appreciate your comments.
