stevem7 Posted October 13, 2009 Share #4 Posted October 13, 2009 50 Lux ASPH - Best 50 ever. 50 Lux Pre-Asph (last version) - 2nd Best 50 Ever Zeiss 50 Sonnar - My 3rd fave but not everyones cup of tea Zeiss 50 Planar - My 4th fave 50 50 Summicron - My 5th fave If you can swing it, go with the 50 Lux ASPH. Shootist Posted October 13, 2009 Share #5 Posted October 13, 2009 50 Lux ASPH. I've had 2 50 Summicrons a 50 Elmar collapsable and the 50 Lux ASPH. After getting the 50Lux ASPH I rarely used any of the other 50mm lenses so I sold them. Not that they are not good lenses, they are very good, but they really don't come close to the 50 Lux ASPH. This lens is always on my M8.2 and I'm looking forward to it be wider on the M9. This lens represents what shooting with Leica is all about. Small, fast, super sharp, shallow DOF.
