Hello, I just bought a used Leica M6 in pristine condition. With it, I have Summicron-M 50mm and the Elmar 135mm F4. The Cron 50 works perfectly, but I can't get the rangefinder focus to work for the Elmar. I know the focus area is pretty tight with a 0.72x viewfinder, but the focus images don't budge when turning the focus dial. I'm probably overlooking something simple, but please let me know if you have any thoughts. Thanks so much.

Ich habe ein Elmar-M-4,0/135mm (Bj.1961) bekommen und suche nun einen passenden Kurzen Stutzen mit Schneckengang, um den Kopf des Elmar 135 an meinem Visoflex-I an der IIIf zu verwenden. Einen Kurzen Stutzen, ZOOAN, habe ich (für das Hektor 4,5/135) an das der Elmar-Kopf aber nicht passt, weil ein schwarzer Blechring (Lichtfalle) das Einschrauben verhindert. Leider habe ich für die Zeit von 1955 bis 1967 keine Leitz Kataloge, um mich entsprechend zu orientieren. Kann mir da jemand raten ? Gruß, Philipp -
Hello all, I have read through a series of previous posts regarding using the lens head of my 135 Elmar (SN 1826037) on my visoflex III/bellows 2 combination, and I must confess that I am still confused about what is needed. I would welcome specific recommendations. My goal is to do some close-up work. At the moment, I have the 16596 bellows 2 to M adapter ring on the bellows 2. If I understand what I have read: 1) a 16558 adapter plate will allow me to connect the lens head directly to the bellows 2. 2) An alternate strategy would be to use a 16464 (OTZFO) focusing mount (which would accept the lens heads on one end and fit to the M flange on the 16596 on the other. 3) I might want (perhaps need) to use a 16472 extension tube in combination to the 16464. I realize that each additional component adds length and therefore potential magnification to the overall set up. At this point I am curious what is essential to trying the lens to see how well it will work for me. Could anyone help clarify all this for me? Thanks, Donald

liebe leicafreunde, ich habe heute mein am 21.dezember gesteigertes elmar erhalten. auf einen test der optischen eigenschaften habe ich nach dem auspacken verzichtet und schnell wieder eingepackt und zurückgeschickt.... allen noch ein frohes 2010 roger
