Some of my friends play regularly at Martin's bar in Kildoon, Co Kildare - a real rural community local pub where everyone knows each other and closing time licensing laws are but a theory. M10, Summicron 35, ISO 3200 Tuning up in the toilet corridor.

Hi friends, I’m not usually very active on the forum but I remember years ago being very curious about how a modern digital M camera would behave under real working scenarios, even more an M Monochrom considering how much limited is the choice of these tools. I felt that this recent example of a collaboration I had with a music band could be potentially useful for anyone interested in seeing real life results, especially under these challenging conditions. Hope you like it or that it’s somehow useful, best regards to all, Sergio. All photographs made with M10M, Nokton 35mm f1.4 v2 and 50mm Summilux Asph. Belter Souls Band - Leica M10M

Mini-Series „Marcel Dupré’s Organ“ I show some photographs taken during a private visit to the former home of French composer and organ virtuoso Marcel Dupré (1886-1971) in Meudon near Paris. Dupré had the concert hall specifically built around the organ, which was originally constructed in 1899 for Alexandre Guilmant by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll. The organ had to be moved a few hundred meters to it’s new home in 1926. It is still private property, to this day, but it is being maintained with the help of a non profit association. [ All pictures were taken handheld in available light. ]

Mercury prize nominated Eska (Eska Mtungwazi) performing at the Turner Sims Concert Hall in Southampton, England. This was taken using only the stage lighting with the Leica M9 set at 1200iso. The lens was the Zeiss 50mm Sonnar f1.5 with the camera set manually at 1/125 and f2.8. The image is virtually straight out of the camera but has been cropped slightly and tweaked. This was the first time I have used the M9 during a live performance (I normally shoot at soundchecks) and I was very happy with the results. I hope you like it, and thanks for looking. Gerry

I took the chance to listen to some great 'Django' style jazz outside a jazz bar whilst walking around Ghent in Belgium last weekend, and captured this great guitarist performing as part of a quartet. The image was shot on an M9 using the 35mm Summarit, and then converted to b&w using Lightroom CC. I hope you like it! Gerry

I asked this accordionist if I could take his image whilst walking through Antwerp, and he nodded his approval. When I had finished (I took 2 shots virtually identical) I put all the change in my pocket into his case, but he became disgruntled suggesting it wasn't enough. Sadly I had to walk away because I felt he might get angry, there was nothing more I could do. Processed into b&w with LR CC from the original .dng file. Gerry
