Ellie Posted May 16, 2012 Share #1 Posted May 16, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I thought I'd better post these two pictures here and link to my commenting in the Customer forum; I really like how different the B&W film and digital images are, I'm happy I have both for different scenes and situations. They compliment each other really well and perhaps the new M Monochrom will turn out as a third alternative? I don't do much post processing and use the dng/negative more or less as they come from the camera. Advertisement Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Hi Ellie, Take a look here B&W film and digital. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted May 16, 2012 Share #2 Posted May 16, 2012 I find the b&w film version exceptionally fine and smooth grain and tones as well as having great acutance and sharpness. I can't relate to the difference between that and the color digital version other than to say the color version has excellent sharpness also. I would find it interesting to compare a b&w film version and a b&w digital conversion of the same subject under the same lighting conditions.
