pgk Posted August 23, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 23, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) In the Wiki under Diopter Correction Lenses the entry states: Diopter Correction Lenses for the UNIVERSAL WIDE-ANGLE VIEWFINDER M - 12011 & R8 / R9 BUT when I try to find more out, the R8/9 dipoters appear to be rectangular whislt the Frankenfinder obviously takes round ones. Does the Frankenfinder actually use the same diopters/rubber eyepiece as the latest R anglefinder? Or does anyone know whether the Frankenfinder rubber eyepiece is the same as any other eyepiece for another Leica item (I've lost mine and am trying to find a replacement......). pgk Posted August 24, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted August 24, 2013 Yes that's correct, but has anyone actually used these on the Frankenfinder or R8?9 and can explain how they actually work on both? [been moved - I did wonder where best to post.....]
tdavis Posted August 25, 2013 Share #4 Posted August 25, 2013 From image below it looks like 'what's in the box' is a polished glass disc w/o frame or mount. Perhaps someone who has used one could respond. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! brunom Posted August 25, 2013 Share #6 Posted August 25, 2013 My R8 has the dioptre adjustment, so I guess these are to be used when your eyesight prescription exceeds the range of the built in one ? Bruno
