we are in full season with cool morning and hot afternoon

poppies love this climate

taken today (May 21, 2011) for you,

(not with my M9 or M8) in the great field of poppies in our area ... poppies that continue to fascinate me with that red blood color

Maybe you know Henry that for us Brits there is an emotional connection to the poppies. The first picture has great dof and I think we would all like it. Number 2 - I would have focussed on the stigma - central portion.

Bob , another photo for you

..... in the midst of other flowers in a large field of poppies

For me, poppy is the perfect natural and wild, mild flower and inimitable in color !

but I do not know that for the British it was an "emotional connection" :)

Doc,

It's always a big treat to see your poppy shots. Each has its own power to delight and amaze and generate a big WOW.

Ece

Great thanks Ece for your nice comments

I had to start taking the poppy alone ... and then I found an entire field of poppies with purple flowers ... happiness for me...

I took all my cameras and I shot : I used 4 rolls of film and my M9-M8 :D
