sparkie Posted May 30, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 30, 2007 try Don Goldberg if you are in the states http://www.dagcamera.com/
dkCambridgeshire Posted May 30, 2007 Share #4 Posted May 30, 2007 Looks like fungal spots?? ... if so may need specialist attention to include clean polish and recoating ... and if on several elements it could be an expensive repair. Dunk
doubice Posted May 30, 2007 Share #5 Posted May 30, 2007 Another possibility is John van Stelten in the US. He can re-polish, re-coat etc. Even has front elements for the original version f:2.8/50mm Elmar. Rik Posted May 31, 2007 Share #7 Posted May 31, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) another one you may try or at least get info from is Will van Manen in the Netherlands. He's a Leica expert, i have had my M3 and M4 CLAd by him. Very good. check his website index.html obviously i'm not affiliated in any way
Guest maddin Posted July 17, 2007 Share #8 Posted July 17, 2007 Thanks a lot for the links. I will try and report the outcome. cheers I got it back from Solms and gosh those guys are good! Thanks for your support and put the CS of Leica to your list. I didn't try any of the other recommendations as lots of additional sending around would have been involved. best regards and thanks again
