pgk Posted December 31, 2009 Share #1 Â Posted December 31, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Folowing on from: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m9-forum/110681-luminous-landscapes-m9-ideal-hiking.html I thought that despite still using an M8:rolleyes:, I'd try to operate without a tripod for a day and push myself into workarounds when I should use on. By late afternoon the light was going, temperature dropping and footpaths were icing up - it was well below freezing. At the bottom of the path up to Cwm Idwal in Snowdonia lies car parking, the warden's office and a take away serving hot drinks and food. The street lighting was on and normally I'd have used a tripod but instead I shot handheld 1/30s at f/1.4 on a 35 asph Summilux. The result IS 'sharp' and as effective as I could have hoped for, with focus on the roof apex on the building. Comments welcome, but I personally rather like the slightly odd Snowdonian subject and composition.

pauledell Posted December 31, 2009 Share #2 Â Posted December 31, 2009 Paul, Â I like the composition, exposure and sharpness, but I have a problem with the blue color. I would make the tone more neutral. Paul
