Leica Store Paris -- quickest VAT refund!

I recently bought a Summarit-M 75 mm lens and hood cap from the Leica store in Paris near place Victor Hugo. It's a small store, and the people are very friendly and knowledgeable. What impressed me the most was that I got my VAT refund credited to my credit card 18 calendar days after I purchased the lens! I've never been refunded in less than 2 months, and sometimes it's been up to 6 months from other stores throughout Europe. So, thanks to them for the quick and efficient turnaround.

 

P.S. A couple of things to note. Although they provide a self-addressed envelope, you need to provide the stamp which you can buy at tobacco or news stands at the airport. The CDG Customs Officer demanded on seeing the actual lens, which he initially insisted was a watch! After numerous international travels, this was the first time I have ever been asked to show a purchased item.
