The Pro 400H is a higher grade "professional" film on the same quality level as portra, but for some reason probably having to do with macroeconomics a lot more expensive.

Yes, the pricing of the pro Fuji C41 colour films seems a bit nutty vis-à-vis Kodak's similar offerings. I've no doubt Fuji have their reasons but it can't be helping their sales volume.

Experimenting: photo taken with M7/Summicron 50 mm on Portra 400. Then re-photographed with Monochrom and 50mm lens on BEOON stand - adjusted in Lightroom.

Works ok I think; better than my scans.

Just a few impressions from the last photokina, shot with M6TTL on Agfa Precisa 100 processed in C41, first two using the 35 Summilux Asph II and the third with the 90 Elmarit-M.

Philip , the first two with 35 LA , for me , the color is fine.

The third the blue is correct

In Summ. it seems that Agfa is produced by Fuji , is it true ?

Henry,

As I noted, the film was cross-processed which messes up the colours. I have made no attempt to correct the colour in these photographs.

The word on the 'net is that Precisa is made by Fuji. It's a good low-priced slide film. In Germany it can be bought off the shelf in several chains.

"Messed up"?? Wouldn't say so. I really like the results, particualrly withh the first and third.

Becker , not easy to shoot under a lantern !

but it's fine , cat a little blurry because I think he moves :)

... but with a monopod and a dog that should not be convenient :D

trying to push 400 ?

James, it seems good for me !

You mean you can develop in b&w , a film color normally in C41 process ?

Thank you for the reply, Henry. Yes, it is possible to develop color negative film (C-41) in normal black&white developer, like Rodinal. I would recommend this for cases of emergency only, although some people do it regularly, as many color negative films are cheaper than black&white films. IMHO it is only useful, if you are scanning the films, as it will give no good results in wet printing.

Here is another example:
