Amro, Nice picture and beautiful color.

This is good , the couple M4-P - Cron 40. I think you need a light meter isn't ?

Some great pictures in your links :)

I do indeed need a lightmeter. I had a Leica MR (?) the kind you put on top of the camera. I never trusted it because I think the cell was exhausted.

But with black and white I "guessed" the exposure. Surprisingly easy to do it turned out. I used a modified Sunny 16 rule, taking into account the lack of really bright sunlight in Britain.

Thanks for your kind words.

I have to say Doc Henry your photographs are consistently good. Always well composed and exposed.

Poppers thank you for the comment and for your encouragement. :)

As I said to Adam Miller, I almost never correct my color photos Kodak Portra because unnecessary. For black and white ,

I push a little development for a "little" more contrast but it depends on film , Kodak TX films do not need it , but yes ... a little for Ilford.

This is not the case with photos from M8 or M9, where this requires a correction of color that can be distorted by this correction (compared to reality)

In addition, M7 exposure metering is very precise and very fair which may be the reason that I did not need to correct my photos

Thanks again for sharing Poppers :)

Doc, are you with the WHO? My father in the latter part of his career, worked for the WHO. He was a real doctor, unlike me.

Amro, on missions we sometimes work with WHO to help people who need care.

but I'll volunteer work for a large organization of doctors. The work is interesting, and I see that there are still many poor people in the world. It is sad

M4-P is a great camera . Many contributors here who have posted photos have this camera. It's nice to be able to work without cell as you do :)

Thanks for your reply

a last picture for today of this nice and romantic place

always with Kodak Portra 400 one of the best film in my opinion ... Adam must also be with me :)

An opinion of a photographer who started the photo with a Leica, in the 1970s !

as I said above , cloudy and foggy that morning ,the proof of a good sensitivity of this film

a well known and famous "Trang Tiên" bridge of Huê (Center VN) on the Perfume River

built by a French called "Gustave Eiffel" (the same who built the Eiffel Tower in Paris)

Film is amazing, it perfectly reproduces the atmosphere of this "freezing fog" (- 8 °C)

with these frozen microdroplets on my face at 7:00 am early morning :) . Film grains reproduce well the fog

(not the case with my M8 or M9)

Look at these two crops below and you will understand why the fog is best rendered with the film

1st photo: non enlarged picture

2nd picture: crop 100% of film crop left in the trees

3rd picture: crop 100% of the same photo in digital taken at the same place , same time (-8°C)

You have noticed that it is the grain that gives this real aspect of fog that digital can not reproduce because "smooth" fog by software

What do you think ? :)

Picture n°2 : crop 100% of film, like an impressionist painting

Picture n°3 : crop 100% of the same photo in digital (flat)

Leica M8 * Summicron 28 Asph

* you notice that I always take the M8 (CCD) as back up and not the M9 because I find that the rendering is better than the M9 .... and only with 10 MPx

M8 is the best digital camera of Leica in my opinion , I say the best !

Tried my first roll of Cinestill 800T, but it seems I have to get familiar with it. Right now i have to do a lot more in Lightroom than I am used to do with other color negatives. Here an example which came out quite good:
