L1010344 1 copy Vanishing Beach - Baldwin, Maui
Each year for a few weeks the waves take over the beach at Baldwin Beach on Maui in Hawaii. The coniferous trees, brought and planted in the mid 1800's by sailors who needed tall masts for their ships still live and duke it out with the ocean for survival. This tree, or what's left of it, is fighting against the odds for survival for another year. Took handheld in monochrome on Leica Q an hour before sunset. Love the ability to shoot almost into the sun without flare with the amazing Q lens. This file reduced from RAW dramatically to fit on the forum. Hope you like it!
