aboudd Posted July 31, 2013 Share #1 Posted July 31, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I finally got around to buying the X2 last week after going through several brands of contacts. My overall impression is fairly good, but I have a number of nit-piks about the ergonomics. For one, you cannot access any functions until you take the lens cap off the camera. Then there is no RAW only setting on the camera. This means I waste card space with the added jpg I didn't want in the first place. There is a lot more of course, you can read about it on my blog: Foto Gizmo

michmo57 Posted July 31, 2013 Share #2 Posted July 31, 2013 (edited) On the X2 you hold the play button down when you turn the camera on. Then you can access camera without taking lens cap off. Edited July 31, 2013 by michmo57
mrware Posted August 1, 2013 Share #3 Posted August 1, 2013 Then there is no RAW only setting on the camera. This means I waste card space with the added jpg I didn't want in the first place. There is a lot more of course, you can read about it on my blog: Foto Gizmo You can set the jpg to the smallest size. The raw is the raw and is of course full sized, but the jpg will be tiny and take up next to no space. You still have to deal with the jpg though to delete them. Live and learn! I've had the X2 for over 6 months and didn't know this. It was annoying to keep removing the cap to show a photo or two. Thanks for this, very useful bit of info. //Juha

This post was worth logging on for! Got my X1 sans manual and never bothered to find one. I can confirm this also works with the X1. Thanks!
