RichardM8 Posted October 2, 2010 Share #2 Posted October 2, 2010 Ah... indeed. First use of the barrel thread. Good to see Leica started with the most eagerly awaited add-on we've all been waiting for.
andybarton Posted October 2, 2010 Share #3 Posted October 2, 2010 There is a huge market for digiscope attachments and Leica make a lot of money from their telescope range. This makes perfect sense to me.
LVSBB6 Posted October 3, 2010 Share #4 Posted October 3, 2010 So basically you have buy their televid in order to get different focal range... It's nice to know we have that option, but still very costly at the same time.
andybarton Posted October 3, 2010 Share #5 Posted October 3, 2010 You are looking at the accessory from the wrong direction. There is a big market for telescope users who want to attach a camera to the back. It's not really an accessory for the X1
dkCambridgeshire Posted April 23, 2011 Share #6 Posted April 23, 2011 (edited) Has anyone tried the X1 with the digiscope adaptor anda Leica Televid 'scope? If so, can you please post some results? I am planning to try this with my Apo Televid 62 but my X1 is away for repair in Solms (under Passport accidental damage cover). I've browsed all through the Leica X1 Photos thread but one possible exception cannot see any digiscoping pix. The design will likely accommodate a variety of eyepieces with the X1 and not just the Leica zoom, although not surprisingly the fit looks perfect on the Leica.
