I am planning to try this with my Apo Televid 62 but my X1 is away for repair in Solms (under Passport accidental damage cover). The design will likely accommodate a variety of eyepieces with the X1 and not just the Leica zoom, although not surprisingly the fit looks perfect on the Leica.
