echorec Posted February 16, 2008 Share #1 Posted February 16, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sorry for bragging but I want to share... I was able to find these Summilux lenses locally within the same week from two different private sellers. You rarely see these at all over here. Welcome, dear visitor! lmr Posted February 18, 2008 Share #10 Posted February 18, 2008 Those are cool looking pair lens. I have the one with Goggles and I found a hood for it too... Cost me an arm for the hood. You are not bragging... just a proud parent!! Caution... I find that the Goggle 35 lux has a rear shroud that will not allow you to focus pass 10 mm or so on the M8. Have fun... Guest leicaphotos Posted February 19, 2008 Share #11 Posted February 19, 2008 my m3 and yours were in the factory at the same time -- my serial is 977-922 pretty close in serial # there... yours is really pretty with the summilux

leitz_not_leica Posted February 21, 2008 Share #13 Posted February 21, 2008 The M2 model looks sweet. To bad the lens is all but unuseable at 1.4.
stunsworth Posted February 21, 2008 Share #14 Posted February 21, 2008 Caution... I find that the Goggle 35 lux has a rear shroud that will not allow you to focus pass 10 mm or so on the M8. Leica can correct that - or at least they can with the non-goggled version, I assume the cause of the problem is the same in both. I bought a non-goggled 35mm Summilux a few months ago and that's ok, another one I nearly bought from Ffordes before that wouldn't focus to infinity on an M8. Being a dealer Ffordes were able to confirm the problem over the phone.
