BTLOO is the code word for the flash light attachment from 1935, the battery container clamped on the side of the camera secured by a thumb screw secured into the tripod bush.

The pillar above the batteries container had holders to take one or two flash bulb.

The synchronization was via the rotation of the shutter speed dial when it was released.

The switch arrangement is slid into the accessory shoe and was engaged with the shutter speed dial by means of a cap which fitted over it.

BTLOO fitted Leica II, III and IIIa
