lockesboy Posted March 27, 2012 Share #1 Posted March 27, 2012 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, been a while since my last post, looking for information on the US military KS15-4 set, does anyone know just how many were produced, I get 874 or 875 camera bodies but how many complete set with lenses, case etc.as far as i know there have only been two (2) sets sold in the last 10 years although there are a few camera bodies and lenses floating around, no cases, the cases are selling for about 1500- 2500usd depending on condition on their own if you can find one, I know there is a case and camera body on eBay in Germany but everything else from the set is gone, so it would never be original, so to sum up I am looking to find out how many KS15-4 sets were made, and does anybody know what to expect to pay for such a set at todays market value. all the best, Edited March 27, 2012 by lockesboy
Advertisement Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Hi lockesboy, Take a look here Leica US army ks15-4 set. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
lockesboy Posted October 18, 2012 Author Share #2 Posted October 18, 2012 I'll answer my own question above as the information may be beneficial to others. After rather a lot of research on the ks15-4 complete Military set, value for a complete set in fair to reasonable condition would be around $30000.00 Aprox 250 sets were ordered by the US military during the Vietnam era, most were hand painted black after delivery and very few complete sets are found in existence today. 874 camera bodies were produced in total.
