tdavis Posted November 11, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 11, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently posted an interesting device on the LeicaWiki which I believe has to do with LeicaStereo, but needs verification. LEICA TOOUG + Stereokameraschiene If you need one for your collection it is listed in the current Rahn Auction. The bottom is of course a TOOUG and I'm guessing the top is a clamp for 2 camera bodies to take stereo pictures. Rahn Auction 2010 Lot 567 LEICA TOOUG + Stereokameraschiene Tischstativ mit Schiene, die zur Aufnahme von 2 Gewinde - Kameras dient - sehr seltenes, bisher nicht bekanntes Zubehör B 200 € 250 - 350 €. Wo ist Stereokameraschiene Tischstativ? Thanks, Tim PS: for TOOUG see http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-wiki.en/index.php/T for LeicaStereo see: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-wiki.en/index.php/Screw-thread_Accessories#STEREO

Thanks, Tim Hi Tim, according to the text, this device ("Stereokameraschiene" stereo camera clamp with table tripod ("Tischstativ") ) is meant to hold two screwmount bodies ("Gewinde-Kameras"), they say it's a rare and yet unknown leica item. tdavis Posted November 11, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted November 11, 2010 Wow. Does anyone know its codeword?
lars_bergquist Posted November 16, 2010 Share #4 Posted November 16, 2010 "Sehr seltenes, bisher nicht bekanntes Zubehör" means "very rare, hitherto unknown accessory". So I presume the codeword is also unknown -- if it ever existed. Lots of strange accessories were made up which never became "official". This may be a case in point. iphoenix Posted November 16, 2010 Share #5 Posted November 16, 2010 Page 274 of "Leica - A History....." by van Hasbroeck shows similar stereo slide bars, code "Fiate".
lars_bergquist Posted November 17, 2010 Share #6 Posted November 17, 2010 The FIATE was for ONE camera that was moved from one end position to the other between individual exposures -- not a two-camera bar. The old man
iphoenix Posted November 17, 2010 Share #7 Posted November 17, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thank you Lars, that will teach me for not reading the thing properly. Could it be a version of the "Kolposkop", mentioned on page 278? Rgds, David
