Nick De Marco Posted February 27, 2008 Share #1 Posted February 27, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) My first Leica I bought to use regularly. I then had to get the M^ but along with that camera this is my favourite. A sturdy battle horse of a camera, looks good and easy to use - especially with the clip on meter. This photo of my friend using it - taken with my M6 ( often like to take both out on holiday)

martin Posted February 27, 2008 Share #2 Posted February 27, 2008 nice photo, congratulation to your M4-P
R.Morrison Posted February 29, 2008 Share #3 Posted February 29, 2008 A very nice photo indeed. I use an MR meter on mine also. I shoot from the hip (actually from the pot belly) and I like to be able to meter without raising the camera to my eye, which the MR meter allows me to do. I regard the M4-P and the M4-2 as historically significant in that they saved Leica after the M5 debacle. Rangefinder production had actually been suspended at Leica prior to their introduction. Yours, R. Morrison, M4-P, etc.
tobey bilek Posted March 1, 2008 Share #4 Posted March 1, 2008 The clip on meters are cool. They make a great forehead rest to steady the camera. I have a silver and black one used to separate color neg and monochrome film bodies. Yup, had a disaster one time.
Mark Antony Posted March 1, 2008 Share #5 Posted March 1, 2008 I love mine too: I also had a clip on meter, but swapped it, and now use a Spotmeter. Have fun Mark
