Just wanted to give a shout out to those darkroom printers among us! The new Ilford offering is superb in all ways. Hahnemuhle created the paper stock and Ilford coated and cut it (the way i understand it). It is a heavy weight, and silver rich "matte' surface paper. It tones nicely in selenium and is very slightly warm. The surface is what is unique to me.... Hard to describe. Textured but with a slight gloss at the same time. Beautiful tonality from TMax 400 shot with an M7/90 Summicron. And dries flat!!! The funny thing with it is I can't get the stuff to stay in the washer (Zone VI)! It pops up and almost out of the water!! Needs weights to keep it down!!! Anyway, I'm in love with this paper and want to compliment Ilford for hanging in there with us film shooters!!!

I used a SpotPen without any problem. The 'tooth' of the surface would seem to mean you could also use oils/paints/pastels, etc. for handcoloring. I'll have to try that...

PS: I used Ilford Warmtone developer in an effort to increase the warm tone a little..... The image develops very quickly, which was a surprise! I expected a very slow development but the image was totally done in 90 seconds...
