Fernmelder Posted July 6, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 6, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey guys, I'll attend a wedding in a week as a guest (not as assignet photog) and I'm wondering if I should take Portra 160 NC and do it in color or to do business as usual and take Plus-X (and Tri-X for later at the evening). What do you think? Are there more disadvantages with Portra like the factor of the lab ruining the film with scratches?
Advertisement Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Hi Fernmelder, Take a look here wedding and film?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Morten Grathe Posted July 6, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 6, 2010 If you don't use flash, the colorfilm will give you colorcast in tungstenlights. I like both PX and TX, so that would be my choice.
E.M Posted July 6, 2010 Share #3 Posted July 6, 2010 I am a big fan of portra 160 nc , so go for it . Good idea to use tri-x later , or maybe even t-max 3200 . It 's nice to shoot colour and black and white and later combine it in your reportage . Etienne Michiels

mattwardle Posted July 7, 2010 Share #5 Posted July 7, 2010 i would go up a speed or two for the colour - fuji 400h or even 800z. It will give you more latitude both are great fine grain film's considering the speed.
